"Music is the result of a process that has nothing to do with music." (Keith Jarrett) This struck me while I was playing around with my guitar and shouldn't have had the TV on... Uh, by the way my name is Dirk Schilling. I’m a musician and photographer who lives in Cologne and “Filmpalast” is the platform I helped to create or, to come back to the previous quote, is the result of my artistic life so far. I like to work with all different kinds of artists, I like a lot of different music and I love taking pictures while travelling....and that’s why “Filmpalast” is what “Filmpalast” is... music and pictures that are supposed to tell stories, soothe you, build you up, grab your heart, make you feel special and unique. I know my work won’t change the world’s course but if it gives you a moment of hope, of joy or self reflection... that’ll make my day :-) Take care, Dirk
